Apple will now sell you parts to fix your own iPhone

(CNN) — Apple has officially opened its self service repair store, which provides manuals and parts for users seeking do-it-yourself fixes for their iPhones.

The online shop offers more than 200 individual parts and tools, such as iPhone screws, cameras, batteries, displays, SIM card trays and more, allowing customers and third-party fixit companies access to genuine Apple components for the first time. Previously, Apple users had to rely on the company’s in-house repair service or authorized repair outposts to fix devices.

The components for sale are specific to iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE (3rd generation) smartphones.
